Job Summary:
The Plant Administrator will be responsible for performing a variety of administrative and clerical duties to support plant operations.Location: York, PA | USCompensation: $23/hr – $25/hr Responsibilities:
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Record and report employee hours, prepare bi-weekly payroll reports
- Assist managers and Payroll department with electronic timekeeping system
- Assist managers with new hire and onboarding process; may include but is not limited to, coordinating/scheduling interviews, requesting Employment Agreements (EA) and following the EA processes, communicating new hire status/expected start dates, facilitate site tours, assisting with basic computer readiness/set-up, perform local plant orientations.
- Assist managers with other employee related documentation, including but not limited to, drafting corrective action documents if requested by managers, drafting & sending employee job abandonment letters, submitting requests to HR Shared Services and BU HR for employee voluntary terminations in a timely manner
- Employee record keeping and file maintenance
- Prepare all necessary forms for accident reporting
- Participate in safety activities such as investigations, safety Gemba Walks, monitor PPE compliance, etc.
- Maintain all Health and Safety records for training, certifications, inspections, and Safety committee meetings, etc
- Follow safe work and good housekeeping practices within the context of current or future legislation and MTI EHS standards
- Assist in ensuring all employees trainings (safety, onboarding, etc.) are up to date and compliant with MTI standards
- Assist in employment engagement activities such as lunches, employee recognition, employee suggestions, etc.
- Coordinate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs
- Maintain the site roster and ensure accuracy
- Determine selection criteria for all staffing needs
- Source potential candidates through online channels (e.g. social platforms and professional networks)
- Plan interview and selection procedures, including screening calls, assessments and in-person interviews, orientations, and on-boarding Plant Administrator job

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Must be capable of working effectively and successfully at a high level with little supervision. Working closely with others while taking ownership of work processes is a key competency.
- Must have thorough knowledge of office practices, procedures and equipment. Must have ability to speak, read, write and understand English. Must be organized and detail oriented.
- Must have the ability to communicate effectively with others both orally and in writing.
- Must have discretion while handling confidential information involving HR communications.
- Thorough knowledge and demonstrated skills with MS Office. Requirement to keep current with computer tools and programs used to fulfill job duties and must be patient with and help others utilize them as needed.
- Experience with Oracle software for production and inventory tracking or comparable WMS.

Working Conditions
: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is typically required to regularly conduct work in a controlled office environment, moving around the office as needed, walking, sitting at a desk, and using office equipment, including but not limited to a personal computer, fax, copier, scanner and phone. Regular contact with individuals internal and external to the organization occurs via various methods of communication.
On a regular basis
, there may be exposure to plant production areas, which may include varying temperatures, exposure to outside weather conditions as well as loud noise from equipment and dust from production processes. Exposure to plant areas requires the use of appropriate safety equipment. Personal protective equipment is available for employee use in these circumstances.Work Hours: The schedule is typically the day shift. However, employee must have ability to work the shift/number of hours in which duties need to be accomplished, including overtime,
holidays and weekends, if necessary.Safety Training: A new employee hired to perform the duties of this position is to be provided New Employee Training. This will include online training and may include instruction from a qualified individual in a classroom type of training setting.Safety Equipment: Safety equipment is available for use if a situation arises where it becomes required or desired by the employee.
