The Organization

Our client is a well-established business in the agriculture industry. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to join their team on a permanent basis in Melbourne’s CBD.

Position Description

Reporting into the Finance Manager, your daily tasks will include but not be limited to:

• Invoice processing
• Completing weekly & ad hoc payment runs
• Statement reconciliations
• Handle supplier queries
• Management of relationships with suppliers
• Month end duties
• Ad hoc tasks as required
• Produce purchase orders in line with Company Policy
• Vendor file maintenance

Candidate Profile

The successful applicant will have proven experience in a similar end to end Accounts Payable role. You will also have the following attributes:

• At least 2 years of experience in accounts payable desirable
• High attention to detail and an ability to prioritise own work
• Knowledge of accounting principles and practices
• Demonstrated ability to confidently work autonomously, as well as collaboratively among a close knit team
• Ability to work proficiently in a high volume environment
• Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills
