Job Responsibilities / Duties:
- Set up and operate production machines to produce parts or products.
- Monitor production machines during operation and make necessary adjustments.
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, and electronic malfunctions of production equipment.
- Inspect parts and/or products for defects and conformance to quality standards using precision measuring instruments.
- Read blueprints, schematics, engineering plans, drawings, and other related documents to determine the correct setup parameters for various machines.
- Ensure that the parts produced meet all required standards of quality and quantity before they are released from the workstation.
- Maintain cleanliness in work areas to ensure the safety of personnel and equipment in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Make minor repairs or adjustments on machines as needed to maintain optimal performance levels.
- Record production data such as the number of parts produced, defects found, scrap rates, etc., on a daily basis or as required by management personnel
- Maintain accurate records of all production activities including machine maintenance logs, downtime reports, scrap reports, etc., as requested by management personnel
