We are seeking a reliable and physically fit General Labourer for a one-week assignment (with the potential for extension) at a council landfill facility in Shellharbour. In this role, you will be responsible for manually removing heavy rock and debris from recycling plants and compost areas. This position involves physically demanding tasks that require attention to safety and efficiency. You will be expected to work outdoors in all weather conditions, lifting and sorting materials as part of a fast-paced team.
The role operates from 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM or 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM, based on your preference, with regular breaks and water provided throughout the day. You will be working in a safe and supportive environment, with sun and rain cover available, and access to onsite parking and showers for convenience.
The ideal candidate is someone with previous experience in manual labour or construction roles, though this is not essential. The role offers a competitive pay rate of $34.71 per hour and the potential for an extension beyond the initial one-week period based on performance.
