Diesel Motor Mechanics job in AUS.
West Coast Bin Pty Ltd, has risen an opportunity for a reliable, experienced and self-motivated mechanics based in Malaga. The position reports to the Managing Director and GM. Your duties will include, but not limited to:
- Diagnosing, maintaining and servicing a range of mainly European and Japanese trucks
- Service all fleet including trucks and trailers as per manufacturer’s specifications.
- Carry out inspections on all fleet and perform minor repairs as needed, including replacing tyres, mud guards,light globes, hydraulic filters, hoses, etc.
- Very good knowledge of diesel engines and mechanical systems – including diagnostics and repairs.
- Carry out maintenance activities on the recycling plant and ensure that correct lockout tagout procedures are followed.
- Conduct goods receiving and inspection of vehicle parts prior to installation.
- Assist in controlling the consumables and stocked parts store and its replenishment.
- Complete all necessary fleet records, e.g. work orders.
- Keep work area clean and tidy.
- Keep tools clean and ready to use.
- Undertake tasks as directed by your supervisor and/or Senior Management.
Requirements for the Position
In order to be successful in the position, you will need to have:
- At least 5 years’ experience working in the transport industry
- Trade Certified in Diesel Motor Mechanic
- Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise
- Very good hydraulics knowledge and understanding
- Waste equipment experience would be an advantage
