Class 4 Driver job in Singapore
Position Summary
This position is responsible for providing safe transportation of cargo between sites and to observeall safety rules on the roads and within the warehouse. Additionally, this position should alsosupport general tasks in the warehouse when there are no trips available.
Primary Responsibilities
- Conduct SKU check and Quantity tallying against the Delivery order during pick up/ collection at any point.
- Perform Loading and unloading either by warehouse personnel or using hand pallet jack by driver or loose loading / unloading of all kinds of packaging etc: palletize / skid / cartons / boxes into the truck or stack on the pallets.
- Secure all cargo properly.
- The driver ensures delivery orders and goods are delivered according to the scheduled timeline.
- The driver must notify the controller/ supervisor on any issues relating to the delivery.
- Ensure the vehicle is kept in good operational readiness. The driver must report any defects to the controller (including daily inspections of coolant water, battery level, brake functioning, tire pressure, and lights) to minimize vehicle downtime (the daily checklist should be shared).
- Driving in a safe, courteous, and legal manner at all times.
- Experience and able to drive hand trucks, pallet jacks for loading / unloading of goods from truck to designated area
- Safe driving on the road
Secondary Responsibilities
- Providing support for general tasks in the warehouse. Picks and packs shipments, performs delivery and pick-up, loads and unloads, as well as scans all packages. Receives, issues and stock-takes materials/inventory
- Complete all relevant assigned trainings
Qualifications Summary
Experience:
This position requires minimum 2 years relevant experience in logistics or warehousing and mustpossess a valid driver’s license- class 4.
