Our client is the market leader in their chosen field who are a stable product based organisations. They have divisions across Australia and all over the world. They are currently searching for an experienced Accounts Payable Team Leader to join their team based in Macquarie Park. Working within their modern offices, this role will suit a highly motivated and driven individual to mentor the team to success and someone who thrives in a fast paced environment with a passion for continuous improvement across processes. Due to the time of year this role will likely be starting in 2025, but they are keen to commence the hiring process this side of Christmas.
Position Description
Your daily tasks will include but not be limited to the following duties;
- Leading a team of 3 Accounts Payable Officers
- Be the Accounts Payable point of contact with key stakeholders
- Mentor and develop team performance through KPIs, and listening to the team to find out their motivations
- Liaising with suppliers and perform reconciliations – high volume of intercompany transactions
- Reviewing the GRNI process and ensuring accuracy of team members.
- Maintain and develop relationships with existing supplier
- Review and analyse current processes identifying key areas of improvement
- Support month end process to Accounts Payable Manager
- Other tasks as directed by management
The Ideal Candidate:
- Previous experience in a similar Accounts Payable leadership/Senior role
- Ability to detail with conflicting deadlines and prioritise workload in a high volume environment
- Excellent Interpersonal and Communication Skills
- Previous Experience in a stock based Accounts Payable environment
- High level of attention to detail/accuracy
- Competency working with Microsoft Excel.
