The Company
Our client is a multinational catering business based in Mangere with a strong reputation across the globe. They have been in operation for over 80+ years and operate out of over 30 countries. Their modern offices are easily accessible via the motorway with onsite parking available. They currently have a full-time employee who is close to retirement and therefore require a contractor to come onboard to assist during this period.
The Role
The role of the Accounts Assistant reports directly to the Finance Manager, whilst working in a wider team of 7. You will be responsible for the transactional workflow of one of the larger entities within the operation.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing the accounts payable function in a sole charge capacity using SAP
- High volume invoice processing – up to 1500 per month
- Accurately matching invoices to Purchase Orders
- Raising accounts receivable invoices
- Assisting with journals and accruals for month end close
- Completing supplier reconciliations
- Daily bank reconciliation
- Ad hoc duties
Your profile:
You will have proven experience in an Accounts Payable and Receivable position, where you have really taken ownership of the function, whether that be in a team or sole-charge capacity. You will also be deadline driven with excellent communication skills. Working within a supportive and collaborative team and being responsible for you own ledger, you will be someone who can work well with others, whilst being results-orientated with a high level of attention to detail.
