Job Duties of a Staff Nurse

Some of the key duties of a Staff Nurse are the following.

1. Providing direct patient care, including monitoring important signs, administering medications, and assisting with activities of daily living.
2. Assessing and documenting patient symptoms and ailments, as well as designing and updating care plans.
3. Collaborating with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, therapists, and social workers, to provide comprehensive patient care.
4. Educating patients and their families about their illnesses, medications, and treatment plans.
5. Administering medical treatments and procedures, including wound care, IV therapy, and medication injections.
6. Maintaining proper and complete medical records and patient information.
7. Ensuring patient protection and comfort by following infection control measures and safety protocols.
8. Participating in quality advancement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
9. Communicating with patients and their families to provide emotional support and address any troubles or questions.
10. Always learning and updating knowledge and skills through resuming education opportunities.

Eligibility Criteria

• A minimum of 1 year of experience is required.
• Prof’l License(Passed Board/Bar/Prof’l License Exam).
• Recent acute care experience in a hospital with a 100+ bed capacity.
