About the Role
We’re looking for a Senior Interior Designer to contribute to our portfolio of commercial, multi-residential, retail and hospitality projects. There is also opportunity to help develop and deliver strategic retail and hospitality solutions under our specialised service Platform by DesignOffice, which focuses on Brands in Built Form®.
Applicants will be qualified interior designers with a minimum of 10 years postgraduate experience.
The role entails:
- Overseeing and undertaking project documentation, client presentations, and site visits for small, medium and large-scale projects
- Overseeing daily project needs, co-ordinating with consultants, handling project schedules, budgets, and resources
- Leading and guiding project teams to ensure project success
- Identifying new business opportunities to fuel company achievement and overall business development
- Mentoring and nurturing junior staff, promoting knowledge sharing to enhance studio and quality assurance systems
- Providing excellence in design and technical expertise
Experience in multi-residential, retail, and hospitality design is essential. Salary will be commensurate with experience and skill.
About You
Supported by the Creative Directors and senior team, applicants will be comfortable leading all scales of project, and confident liaising directly with clients, consultants and contractors. The person we need is driven and organised, an open communicator who thrives in a dynamic open plan team environment. You’ll also enjoy working independently with excellent time management skills, a strong design sensibility and attention to detail.
Other skills that you will possess:
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant management experience
- Strong design sensibility and ability to present compelling conceptual ideas to clients
- Robust people management skills, with proven experience in directing small teams and delivering quality design under tight deadlines
- Proficiency in English is essential
- International design experience is advantageous
