Job Duties of a Sales Executive

Some of the key duties of a Sales Executive are the following.

  1. Identify and generate new business opportunities through cold-calling, networking, and other sales strategies
  2. Build and maintain relationships with clients and provide exceptional customer service
  3. Develop and execute sales strategies and plans to meet or exceed sales targets
  4. Conduct market research to identify customer requirements and market trends
  5. Prepare and deliver sales presentations and proposals to clients
  6. Negotiate contracts and deals with clients and vendors
  7. Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as marketing, product development, and customer assistance to ensure alignment of sales efforts
  8. Attend trade shows and other industry events to promote products and services and identify new business opportunities
  9. Monitor and report on sales performance and market trends to senior administration
  10. Deliver feedback to the product development team on customer needs and preferences to inform product strategy
  11. Keep up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in sales to constantly improve sales performance
