Role of a Registered Nurse
Some of the vital duties of a Registered Nurse are the following.
- Assess and document patient health status, including vital signs, medical history, and existing symptoms.
- Develop and execute nursing care plans, including administering medications and treatments as requested by physicians.
- Monitor patients for changes in condition, and report and react to any negative reactions or complications.
- Educate patients and their relatives about their medical conditions, medications, and self-care techniques.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team associates, including physicians, therapists, and other nurses to confirm the best possible patient outcomes.
- Assist nursing procedures, such as IV therapy, wound care, and patient hygiene.
- Monitor and record medical supplies, such as ventilators and dialysis machines, ensuring they are functioning properly and providing the necessary care.
- Advocate for patient rights, including providing ethical and culturally sensitive care, addressing concerns, and coordinating dismissal planning.
- Participate in ongoing skill development and training to stay up-to-date on best practices and appearing trends in healthcare.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient histories and documentation in compliance with legal and regulatory needs
Requirements
- A minimum of 3 years of working as a registered nurse is a must.
- Prof’l License(Passed Board/Bar/Prof’l License Exam).
