Description
We are seeking a skilled and highly motivated AutoCAD / Inventor Designer to join our team. This role requires up to 20% travel to customer sites for measurements and layouts. As a fast-paced, customer-focused company, we design and develop custom projects in the food distribution industry. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and design custom projects.
- Utilize creativity, verbal and written communication skills, and problem-solving abilities.
- Apply design techniques, tools, and principles to produce precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
- Create layouts and generate new images using computer software.
- Use Adobe Imaging software (Illustrator, Photoshop), CAD software, and graphics software.
- Modify and refine designs to meet customer specifications, production limitations, or changes in design trends.
- Perform hands-on reverse engineering and design, including tolerance stack-up, fit, and function.
- Coordinate the look and function of product lines.
- Collaborate with engineering, marketing, production, sales departments, and customers to establish and evaluate design concepts.
- Design graphic materials for use as illustrations.
- Utilize Excel, Word, and Microsoft Project.
- Manage files, including revision history, engineering change requests, and part number catalogs.
- Support project management efforts related to design and development.

Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Keen attention to detail.
- Ability to read blueprints and layout project directions.
- Flexible and responsive with a strong teamwork orientation.
- Commitment to quality, safety, and continual improvement.
- Understanding and support of company policies and procedures.
- Excellent attendance record.
- Ability to work frequent overtime and travel as needed.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 – $43.25/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
