Role of a Kitchen Equipment Technician
Some of the key duties of a Kitchen Equipment Technician are the following.
- Installing, repairing, and maintaining commercial kitchen equipment, such as ovens, refrigerators, dishwashers, and fryers.
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and electronic problems using technical diagnostic kits and tools.
- Conducting routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure equipment is functioning correctly and efficiently.
- Ordering and sourcing parts and equipment are essential for repairs and maintenance.
- Keeping valid records of all repairs and services performed on kitchen equipment.
- Communicating effectively with customers, colleagues, and supervisors to ensure customer satisfaction and efficient workflow.
- Providing technical support and training to kitchen staff on the proper use and maintenance of equipment.
- Assuring that all work performed meets industry standards and protection rules.
- Staying up-to-date with advancements in equipment technology and listening training sessions and workshops to maintain proficiency.
Eligibility Criteria
- A minimum of 4 years of experience is required.
- Males are preferred for this position.
- Vocational Diploma / Short Course Certificate in a similar field.
