Job duties of a Home Delivery Driver
- Planning delivery routes: Home delivery drivers are responsible for planning their routes and ensuring that they deliver the products to the customers in a timely and efficient manner.
- Loading and unloading products: Drivers are responsible for loading and unloading products onto and from their delivery vehicles. They must also ensure that the products are secure and undamaged during transit.
- Delivering products to customers: Home delivery drivers are responsible for delivering products to customers’ homes or other designated locations. They must ensure that the products are delivered in a timely and professional manner and that the customers are satisfied with the delivery.
- Collecting payments: In some cases, home delivery drivers may be responsible for collecting payments from customers for the products that they have delivered. They must ensure that the payments are collected and processed in a timely and accurate manner.
- Keeping accurate records: Home delivery drivers must keep accurate records of the products they deliver, the locations they visit, and any issues or concerns that arise during the delivery process.
- Maintaining vehicles: Drivers must ensure that their delivery vehicles are well-maintained and safe to operate. They are responsible for conducting routine maintenance and inspections of their vehicles, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake checks.
- Providing exceptional customer service: Home delivery drivers are often the face of the company that they work for, and they must provide exceptional customer service to ensure that customers are satisfied with the delivery process
