Salary
The salary offered by the company is about $2s – $50 per hour.
Role of a Heavy Vehicle Driver
- Transporting goods or passengers: Heavy vehicle drivers are responsible for transporting goods or passengers from one location to another. This may involve driving long distances, adhering to specific schedules, and following designated routes.
- Loading and unloading cargo: Heavy vehicle drivers must ensure that cargo is properly loaded and secured before transport, and unloaded once it reaches its destination. They must follow safety protocols to ensure that the cargo is transported safely and efficiently.
- Maintaining the vehicle: Heavy vehicle drivers are responsible for performing routine maintenance on their vehicles, such as checking tire pressure, inspecting brakes, and changing oil. They must also report any mechanical issues or repairs needed to their supervisor.
- Adhering to regulations: Heavy vehicle drivers must comply with federal, state, and local regulations governing the transport of goods and passengers, including hours-of-service requirements, weight restrictions, and speed limits.
- Following safety protocols: Heavy vehicle drivers must follow safety protocols to ensure the safety of themselves and other drivers on the road. This includes wearing seatbelts, obeying traffic laws, and properly securing cargo.
