Job Duties of a Heavy Equipment Mechanic
Heavy equipment mechanic is responsible for maintaining and repairing large vehicles and equipment used in mining, farming, transportation & construction, etc. Some duties of a heavy equipment mechanic are the following.
- Heavy equipment mechanics do regular inspections or identify issues or potential problems with equipment.
- They also perform the repair and maintenance of heavy equipment.
- Welding and fabricating are also their main functions.
- They also provide technical support to the operators of the equipment.
- They stay up to date with the trends in industry and safety regulations to ensure they are providing the best service.
Eligibility Criteria
- A minimum of 3 years of experience.
- Vocational Diploma / Short Course Certificate in Engineering.
- Male applicants are preferred for this job.
