Michael Page is working with a leading Facilities Management service provider based in Qatar. This role will lead multiple high value packages for a key client, responsible for hard a soft services, managing staff of up to 300.
You will manage FM contracts for an Airport to accomplish maintenance and cleaning 5 star standard inclusive of VIP facilities, retail areas, roads, tunnels, and catering facilities. You will provide approaches to the daily operations in the airport within the contract specification and to the agreed performance, qualitative and financial targets. You will be responsible for providing the leadership, guidance, support and direction for the cleaning and maintenance workforce and will be a key partner in the success of the Airport, aiming to achieve the status of best airport globally.
Operations
- To secure the functionality of the business to drive extensive and sustainable growth.
- Manage KPI’s and SLA’s with focus on optimising service delivery and attention to the improvement of process, systems, tools and equipment.
- Establish operational policies that promote engagement, company culture and vision
- Oversee operations of the company working with the CEO and Senior Management from other contracts and departments
- Management of employees with a customer focus to deliver business excellence by change management.
- Design and implementation of efficient operation solutions based on pioneering technology.
- Have overall strategic and operational responsibility for the delivery of all airport contracts, with management of a dedicated team of professional senior account managers.
- Overseeing financial and technical matters with a focus on performance of services delivered.
- Draft and submit Financial Budgets for each service sector to the CEO in coordination with the FD monitor and financial performance outputs.
- To focus on the customers and their stakeholders to deliver exceptional service, adding solutions and identifying innovative added value business opportunities that complement the services already being delivered.
- Support the preparation of new opportunities with reviewing the organisation structure, technical specifications, and financial parameters in cooperation with the Business Development Team.
- To ensure contract compliance with the company’s policies and regulations on Quality, Environment and Health & Safety and Qatari labour laws.
Leadership
- Leading the team and demonstrating continual motivation to deliver an exceptional quality of service.
- To deliver a high quality of service solutions through the understanding of building assets and the associated required cleaning and maintenance solutions.
- To lead the design and delivery of the Soft and Hard Service Platforms such that it reflects the needs of a 5-star airport.
- Ensuring a high standard of all staff´s personal hygiene and appearance and general cleanliness to comply with statutory and Company regulations.
- To oversee the development of forward maintenance and cleaning plans and life cycle costing models.
- To understand the relationship between CAPEX and OPEX investment.
- Ensure the team is continuously meeting the company’s KPI’s
HSEQ
- To follow client/company guidelines with regards to the identification and reporting of health and safety hazards
- To work with HSEQ Department to provide response to client’s request for information, inspections, audits, etc.
- Complying with all Company & Client policies and statutory regulations relating to Health & Safety, safe working practices hygiene, cleanliness, fire safety and COSHH. Ensuring the staff under you + subcontractors are following the requirements
- Participate where required in the investigation of accidents and severe incidents.
- To promote a Safe workplace with the implementation of safety culture and values.
- Follow Permit to Work system and ensure the staff under you is doing the same.
- Collaborating with HSEQ Department to provide answer to client’s complaints, inspections, audits, etc.
- Follow the rules and regulations from the client and from HSEQ Management System, which includes attending all training sessions you are invited to and by reading the documents provided to you.
- Report any accident, incident, near miss or health event at work and request the staff under them to do the same.

Essential-
- Degree in Engineering or equivalent
- Previous experience leading facilities management and maintenance functions on large Airport projects
- Ten year’s experience as account director of a major people moving infrastructure business
- Strong engineering foundation supported with the significant understanding of high value front of house delivery.
- Fluent English
- Proven ability in leadership, team building, time management, driving results, innovation, negotiation and customer management.
- Have an analytic mind-set and solutions focus.
- Excellent communication skills, business acumen and exemplary work ethics
Preferred-
- Post graduate degree or MBA
- Middle Eastern Experience preferred but not a must, the client will consider candidates with International experience on mega airport projects
