Job Description:
Salary: $ 80,560 plus superannuation
Qualifications & Experience:
AQF Certificate III plus 2 years of experience or 3 years of full-time work experience may substitute formal qualification.
Task and Duties include (but not limited to)· Machine Operation- Set up and operate metalworking machines such as lathes, milling machines, grinders, and CNC machines to perform machining operations on metal parts.· Blueprint Interpretation – Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders to understand the required dimensions, tolerances, and specifications for the metal parts.· Tool Setup -Select appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and machine attachments and set them up on the machines for each job.· Material Preparation- Load metal stock onto machines and position it correctly for machining operations.·
Machining Processes- Perform cutting, shaping, drilling metal using different tools, grinding and finishing operations on metal parts using appropriate machining techniques and processes.· Setting and operating lathe and CNC lathe and milling machine· Setting and operating many kinds of cutting and drilling machines· Assembling fabricated metal parts· Determining suitable material, method, and sequence of operations to repair drilling/mining equipment.· Quality Control: Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to ensure they meet the specified dimensions and quality standards.·
