Job Duties of an Electronic Technician

Some of the vital duties of an Electronic Technician are the following.

  1. Install, maintain, and repair electronic tools and systems, such as control systems, communication systems, and computer systems.
  2. Troubleshoot and analyze equipment and system malfunctions using various diagnostic instruments and techniques.
  3. Replace or repair defective components, such as circuit boards, sensors, and wiring.
  4. Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to choose the proper repairs and maintenance procedures.
  5. Program and configure electronic systems and devices to meet specific needs.
  6. Test and calibrate electronic equipment and systems to provide optimal performance and precision.
  7. Document restoration and maintenance activities, including parts, used, repairs performed, and time spent on each job.
  8. Maintain a stock of spare parts, tools, and equipment necessary for repair and maintenance activities.
  9. Collaborate with other technicians, engineers, and managers to recognize and resolve complex technical problems.
  10. Conduct standard preventive maintenance activities to decrease the likelihood of equipment failure and rest.

Requirements

  • .2 years of working experience as an Electronic Technician.
  • Vocational Diploma / Short Course Certificate in Engineering(Electrical).
