Your Key Responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Focus on creating applications that ensure the highest level of data protection and secure communication.
- Collaborate with architects to design secure and scalable software architecture that meets the security requirements.
- Address identified risks and recommend solutions to improve security posture.
- Automate testing processes to improve efficiency and accuracy in identifying vulnerabilities.
- Quickly diagnose and resolve software bugs and security vulnerabilities in both development and production environments.
- Collaborate with security teams to ensure applications meet organizational and regulatory security standards.
- Continuously monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize software for performance and scalability
- Design and develop secure APIs that comply with industry security standards and provide secure access to backend services
- Ensure software complies with relevant regulatory requirements such as GDPR, HIPAA, and other data privacy laws.
- Implement secure configurations for production systems and ensure the integrity of live systems.
- Research new security tools, technologies, and methodologies to incorporate into development practices.
Skills and Qualifications Required:
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong experience in programming languages such as Java, Python, C++, or JavaScript.
- Solid understanding of security concepts such as encryption, authentication, authorization, and vulnerability assessment.
- Proven ability to develop and implement secure applications, including data protection, secure communication, and privacy practices.
- Familiarity with tools like static analysis, dynamic analysis, and penetration testing tools to assess software security.
Preferred Skills:
- Cloud Security: Experience with securing cloud-based platforms and services such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- DevSecOps: Familiarity with DevSecOps practices, integrating security into the CI/CD pipeline.
- Experience with Encryption Technologies: Hands-on experience with encryption libraries, key management, and secure communication protocols (e.g., SSL/TLS).
- Penetration Testing: Experience performing penetration tests and vulnerability assessments on software applications.
