Salary

The salary package offered by the firm is 12K AED all inclusive depending on the experience and qualifications.

Role of a Chef de Cuisine

The key duties of a Chef de Cuisine are the following.

  1. Menu planning and development: Designing creative and innovative menus that meet the needs of the restaurant, its clientele, and its budget.
  2. Food preparation: Overseeing the preparation of all dishes, ensuring that they meet the restaurant’s high-quality criteria and are served in a timely manner.
  3. Kitchen protection and sanitation: Ensuring that the kitchen is clean, safe, and in compliance with health and safety rules.
  4. Staff management: Hiring, training, and supervising kitchen staff, including chefs, cooks, and other kitchen employees.
  5. Inventory management: Managing inventory levels, ordering supplies, and monitoring food costs to ensure profitability.
  6. Budgeting and cost control: Managing the kitchen budget, monitoring costs, and implementing cost-saving measures where required.
  7. Quality control: Assuring that all food served meets the restaurant’s high-quality standards and is consistent with the menu.
  8. Customer satisfaction: Ensuring that customers are satisfied with the food and service provided by the kitchen, and addressing any complaints or issues that arise.
  9. Menu pricing: Setting menu prices based on food and labor costs, market trends, and the restaurant’s overall profitability.
  10. Collaborating with other branches: Collaborating with other divisions, such as marketing and front-of-house staff, to ensure that the restaurant runs smoothly and meets its objectives.

Eligibility Criteria

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Chef de Cuisine or Sous Chef.
  • Good knowledge of western and international cuisine.
  • HACCP or related certifications are advantages
