Job Duties of a Carpenter
- Reading and interpreting blueprints and project plans to determine the scope of work and materials needed.
- Measuring, cutting, shaping, and joining wood or other materials to construct and install building frameworks, walls, roofs, and other structures.
- Building and installing cabinets, shelves, and other fixtures to complete the interior of buildings.
- Installing and repairing windows, doors, and other fixtures, including hardware such as locks and hinges.
- Repairing and maintaining existing structures, such as replacing damaged wood or repairing broken fixtures.
- Operating various woodworking tools, including saws, drills, sanders, and other power and hand tools.
- Adhering to safety guidelines and ensuring that work is completed to meet local building codes and standards.
- Communicating with clients, contractors, and other professionals to ensure that projects are completed according to specifications and within budget.
Eligibility Criteria
- A minimum of 2-year experience is required.
- Candidates must be at least a high school graduate.
- With wide experience in formworks/shuttering.
- Can operate power tools and hand tools.
