Job Duties of a Canteen Manager / Chef

- Menu Planning: Developing a menu that offers a variety of healthy and appetizing meals to customers, taking into consideration dietary restrictions and food allergies.
- Food Preparation: Overseeing the preparation of food, ensuring that it is of high quality, meets food safety standards, and is served at the appropriate temperature.
- Inventory Management: Managing inventory levels, ordering supplies, and ensuring that the canteen has the necessary food and equipment to meet customer demand.
- Staff Management: Recruiting, training, and managing kitchen and service staff, ensuring that they adhere to food safety and hygiene standards and that they provide excellent customer service.
- Financial Management: Managing the canteen’s finances, including monitoring expenses, revenue, and profits, and creating budgets for food and labor costs.
- Customer Service: Ensuring that customers receive excellent service, addressing customer complaints and concerns, and promoting a positive image of the canteen.
- Compliance with Regulations: Ensuring that the canteen meets all relevant regulations, including food safety and health and safety standards.

Eligibility Criteria
- A diploma / BTEC HND in Professional Cookery or equivalent is essential.
- Food Hygiene Level 3 desirable.
- Communicates well in written and oral form with multinationals on all levels.
- Good IT skills.
- Strong team player.
- Exceptional interpersonal, organization, communication, and creativity skills essential
