Job Duties of an Auto Mechanics

- Diagnosing problems: Using specialized diagnostic instruments and techniques to recognize problems with vehicles.
- Repairing vehicles: Conducting maintenance, repair, and replacement work on engines, brakes, transmissions, and further vehicle components.
- Conducting regular maintenance: Performing routine maintenance assignments such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
- Interacting with consumers: Communicating with customers about their vehicle’s problems, explaining repairs, and providing expense estimates.
- Reading specialized manuals: Examining technical manuals and schematics to comprehend vehicle systems and components.
- Operating computer software: Utilizing specialized software to analyze and repair vehicle problems.
- Keeping records: Keeping precise records of all repairs and maintenance performed on vehicles.
- Maintaining equipment: Ensuring that all tools and equipment are adequately maintained and in a good working situation.
- Ordering parts: Ordering and maintaining an inventory of parts and supplies needed for repairs and maintenance.
- Keeping up-to-date with industry trends: Continuously learning about new technologies and industry trends to stay up-to-date on best practices and new repair methods.
Eligibility Criteria
- 3 years of working experience as an Auto Mechanic is demanded.
- Vocational Diploma / Short Course Certificate in similar fields.
