About you
In order to succeed in the role, you will have:
- a demonstrated ability to lead a professional team. This includes building capability in a high performing team, mentoring and coaching a diverse range of staff ensuring high retention rates.
- at least 5 years of work experience in:
- business analysis to gather IT requirements and development skills to implement robust solutions.
- SQL databases and the Microsoft Azure platform e.g., using Azure Synapse.
- data modelling and business requirement analysis e.g., using star/snowflake schema.
- developing complex ETLs e.g., using Azure Data Factory.
- working with big data e.g., using Azure Data Lake.
- designing and implementing tabular solutions e.g., using Azure Analysis Services.
- development of reports using BI tools e.g., using Power BI.
- version control systems and CI/CD e.g., Azure DevOps
- the ability to lead technical projects through to completion and supervision of teams using agile (SCRUM) and project management methodologies (Prince2).
- a well-developed understanding, or ability to quickly acquire an understanding of Australian energy markets and the role, purpose, and objectives of the AER.
- tertiary qualifications in computing, information technology, data management or a related field are desirable.
