Job Description
MSS Security has a proud history of supplying dedicated personnel and we welcome applications from those who meet the following criteria:
- A passion for customer service;
- Willingness to work Monday – Friday, 0700 – 1800
- Hold at minimum a Certificate III in Security Operations;
- Hold a current First Aid certificate;
- Have a valid Security Licence with subclasses 1A; 1C; 1FC and 1FP;
- Excellent verbal and written English language and communication skills; and
- Ability to work well in both a team environment and independently.
Job Description
Working as part of the MSS Security team in Canberra, you will have the opportunity to work in one or more of the following areas:
- Concierge/commercial building security;
- Access Control;
- Directing and escorting visitors;
- Monitoring CCTV;
- Visitor sign in/induction;
- Maintaining Key Registers and issue of keys;
- The identification and reporting of building maintenance issues; and
- Conducting foot patrols both internally and externally

- Physically fit and able to walk and stand for prolonged periods
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Friendly, approachable and able to build rapport with different types of people
- Strong awareness of surroundings

Required Qualifications and Licences:
- Full working rights in Australia
- Certificate II and III in Security Operations
- NSW Security Licence Class 1ACEF
- NSW Firearms Licence Category H (Security)
- NSW Firearms Accreditation Certificate
- HOLD First Aid Certificate
- HOLD White Card
- NSW Full Driver’s Licence
- Forklift Licence (Optional)
