We are looking for a Analyst Programmer
Description
As an Analyst Programmer, you will work with Delivery/Platform leaders and the Data Engineering cohort to design, develop and implement improvements to reporting applications. The role includes systems analysis, design, development, maintenance & ongoing support.
Responsibilities:
- Highly proficient in delivery of technical projects using Agile and DevOps methodologies
- Liaise with business representatives to understand requirement specifications
- Contribute to analysis of business specifications, solutions, estimations, and implementation decisions
- Design, Development and review of database objects and reports.
- Mentor offshore team with respect to Oracle, DB2, Netezza, Redshift and Cognos, Tableau requirements and assist them technically.
- Improving and maintaining standards: coding, testing, CD, automation
- Prioritize and drive Automation in delivery
- Embed a DevOps/DevSecOps mindset and practices within the team
- Enhancing existing Cognos DMR’s and creating drill through reports.
- Modify existing DMA source files to add additional fields and run DMA jobs to bring test data from JT or HT source.
- Modify drill through definition XML code manually to add additional parameter since the max number of parameter limit is exhausted in the Cognos.
- Modifying/Creating UNIX scripts for loading of data
- Develop custom reporting dashboards and scorecards using Tableau
- Ability to design and deploy rich graphics visualizations and parametrized using Tableau.
- Enhancement of existing Tableau dashboards based on new business requirements.
- Using Management Console (IBM Change Data Capture) to create subscriptions.
- Enhancing existing Cognos reports and creating events and scheduling the events.
- Cognos Report bursting and parsing files to network drive.
- Creating and modifying Dimensionally Modelled Relational (DMR) models.
- Creating event mail notifications.
- Modifying exiting FM Models and deploying them to PROD.
- Creating deployments plans to deploy the modified Netezza and Cognos objects to production.
- Performing regression and progression testing of the component during the development phase of the project.
- Assisting business during their UAT and PVT.
- Modifying/creating existing/new Control-M jobs.
Skills & Experience:
- 6+ years development experience as an Analyst Programmer or similar senior role
- Strong analytical, and design skills.
- Strong programming skills.
- Sound written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Demonstrated experience with Agile development methodologies
- Proven experience in using tools like Stash, Source Tree, JIRA, MS Project
- Strong time management, workload management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work with minimal direction and supervision.
- Ability to work independently or within a team framework, and in varying customer environments.
- Experience in financial Services Industry or large corporate environments.
