Digital Services Division (DSD) is responsible for enabling Information and Communication Technology (ICT) functions and activities in the department. The Job
We are looking to fill two separate vacancies within the ERP Systems Section. As an Analyst Programmer at the APS Level 6, you will:
- Assist with maintenance of Revenue and Levies software, providing support to the relevant business areas and the deployment of vendor updates.
- Assist with functional systems testing and change control to support changes to departmental FMIS systems.
- Troubleshoot issues with Revenue and Levies software and their associated SQL databases.
- Assist with the creation and updating of system documentation as required.
As a System Administrator you will:
- Assist with systems testing and change control to support changes to FMIS systems in an administrator capacity.
- Assist with system support and maintenance tasks including issue and incident resolution, access and security, data maintenance, data integrity, quality assurance, system patching and upgrades and systems integration in an administrator and user capacity.
- Provide advice and guidance to end users and stakeholders on issues.
- Work closely with suppliers to achieve effective and efficient vendor support for applications and systems.
- Work collaboratively with a broad range of stakeholders.
Skills and Capabilities
We are looking for candidates with a range of technical skills and capabilities. Any of the following would be highly desirable for either role:
- Experience using the Azure DevOps platform, including the Git repository and utilising pipelines for deployment.
- Experience using Azure Data Factory, including the creation and monitoring of pipelines.
- Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services and SQL Server Agent jobs.
- Experience setting up BI Reporting.
- Experience with Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS).
- Experience working with vendors.
Knowledge and experience
Our ideal Analyst Programmer has:
- Knowledge and experience with Microsoft SQL, including SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS).
- Experience or knowledge of N-Tier application architecture:
- Middle tier and batch services connecting to databases.
- Client web applications connecting to databases.
- Multiple domains and environments.
Our ideal System Administrator has:
- Sound technical knowledge of Financial Management Information Systems.
- Experience in system administration and cloud/SaaS environments.
- Ability to develop and maintain effective internal and external working relationships through consultation and sharing of information.
- Demonstrated experience analysing and troubleshooting complex technical enquiries, including the ability to apply sound judgement to problem solve when faced with competing priorities.
- Planning and organisational skills to ensure tasks are completed within timeframes.
