Position Summary
- part time 50.75 hours per fortnight 6 shifts per fortnight, weekend, night duty + afternoon shifts – ongoing role
- Parkville location, with multiple public transport options available
- $125,008 (pro-rata) + salary packaging + super + 5 weeks annual leave

About After Hours Manager
The After Hours Manager (AHM) position is a leadership position, assuming delegated responsibility for operating functions of the organisation beyond business hours. In particular the AHM coordinates clinical hospital activities and ensures the effective and efficient use of human resources through appropriate allocation of staff and management of bed allocation. The After Hours Manager functions as the Chief Warden in case of emergency.
About the role
A regular day will see you:
- Accept responsibility for the provision of quality patient care in all areas of the hospital after hours or at the direction of the Executive Nurse and Midwife
- Manages escalated client issues or complaints
- Maximises efficient use of human resources through appropriate allocation and distribution of midwives, Assumes responsibility for afterhours adherence to hospital policies and procedures, and manages individual situations where policy/procedure is not followed
- Ensures operational performance meets accreditation and statutory requirements Provides clinical assistance when requested or delegates appropriately

- Registration with AHPRA – Division 1 RN with endorsement as a midwife
- Demonstrated customer focus Significant hospital-based experience at a senior level
- Understanding and commitment to Baby Friendly Hospital initiative accreditation Relevant current clinical knowledge, skills and experience
- Appropriate further qualifications in management or similar Demonstrated leadership skills
