Job Summary:
- Responsible for patient care under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist as mandated by State Practice Act.
- Possesses training and education which allows to assist the Physical Therapist in carrying out prescribed treatment program.Physical Therapy Assistant – Full time job
Essential Functions:
- Adhere to state Practice Act and laws governing Physical Therapist Assistants under licensed PT supervision.
- Complete required Medicare compliance and OSHA training annually.
- Clean and prepare treatment areas and equipment per OSHA standards.
- Implement skilled treatment programs as directed by a licensed Physical Therapist.
- Document patient information accurately and timely using proper medical terminology.
- Complete written documentation promptly to meet deadlines. Attend facility meetings as directed.
- Complete continuing education to meet state licensure requirements.
- Maintain current CPR certification as required by state licensure.
- Stay informed on general healthcare changes and issues affecting physical therapy.
- Contribute to specific centre operations as agreed with the Centre Manager.
- Perform other duties or special projects as assigned.
Required Skills & Abilities:
- Teamwork skills.
- Strong organizational and time management.
- Good listening and reading comprehension.
Physical Requirements:
- Lift patients using proper techniques, up to 50 lbs.
- Constant walking, bending, standing, and reaching.
- Sufficient vision for record-keeping and recognizing people.
- Clear speaking and hearing for communication.
- Ability to push wheeled equipment.
- Fine motor skills for scheduling and preparing treatment materials.

Required Credentials:
- Graduate of a CAPTE-accredited physical therapist assistant program, or an equivalent international program.
- Current valid state license/registration/certification.
